Student TO DO List
1. Register for either the August 18 one-day
or the September 2 to September 5 multiple day orientation session. You may also register for an optional Pre-Orientation session. Please
call
the
Orientation office at 303.871.3860 if you have difficulty registering or ask questions
if you are
unsure which option is best for you. Please indicate your choice by August
1,
2008.
2. Purchase
laptop and all related equipment (cords, start-up CD’s,
etc.) and bring it to your Orientation Session – visit
www.du.edu/laptop to learn about specifications for laptops.
3. If your parents or family members wish to attend Parent/Family Orientation
on Tuesday, September 2, please have them register by clicking the Parent's Registration link found
on the navigation bar at the left.
4. Review the materials in the Transfer
Student Admissions Flash Drive to learn more
about parking, housing and other important information you will need to know
as an
incoming
student.
5. Send in your information and picture for your Pioneer ID Card.
6. Explore on-campus living options.
7. Check out meal plan options through Housing
and Residential Education. Even
if you are living off-campus you can select a meal plan that will be convenient
and
simple to use.
8. If you will be in the Denver area and would like to meet with an Academic
Adviser prior to orientation, please call The Center for Academic and Career
Development
at 303.871.2455 to make an appointment. Please indicate that you are a transfer
student starting in Fall 2008 when making your appointment.
9. Remember to check your e-mail or the Discoveries website over the summer
to see if you have important information about changes in the orientation schedule,
where to meet your first day on campus or if you have other questions.

so that we may plan accordingly.
Health Insurance
Waiver – students are required to have health insurance.
If you wish to purchase health insurance through DU, please visit
www.du.edu/healthservices/ to learn more. If you have your own
health insurance, and do not want to purchase insurance through
DU, you must waive DU student health insurance. Click HERE for
