University Multimedia Services is your point of contact for all requests regarding the setup, use, and breakdown of any technological component of your event. This can include microphones, speakers, projectors, A/V control panels, VHS/DVD/Blu-Ray players, loaner laptops, and more.
There are two categories of A/V assistance: support and rentals.
- Support for existing technology in classrooms is always free. There may be fees for support in non-classroom areas, especially if A/V equipment must be transported to the event.
- Rentals allow students to obtain and create high-quality A/V recordings. Students can request that University Multimedia Services transport the desired equipment to and from the event, and can also choose whether they would like a technician to be present during its operation. Charges apply for rentals.
For all media at your event, fill out the Event Media Request Form at least seven days before your event. This request must be submitted in addition to your event and room requests. Immediately follow up your Event Media Request Form with an email to University Multimedia Services noting any extra considerations (details of the event, tentative status, extraordinary needs, etc.)
Have your organization’s budget number ready when you fill out the request form. Cash payments to University Multimedia Services are not accepted.
ProTip: Book classrooms if you want to save money. Room reservations and A/V support for classrooms are free!
While University Multimedia Services is the primary A/V support service on campus, they do not provide support for the Ritchie Center or the Sturm College of Law.
OTHER A/V SERVICES
Videography: Requests for videography must be completed at least seven days in advance of your event by using VideoManager. At this time, only staff and faculty are eligible to request videography, so consult your advisor for assistance filling out the form.
If an organization wants to reach out to a third party videographer, they must go through the contracting procedure. For assistance scheduling videography, contact Franklin Jackson.
Photography: For official DU photographers, fill out the Photography Services Request Form at least seven days before your event. Student organizations may qualify for free photography services, pending availability. Official DU photos are automatically saved on the DU Flickr page, meaning photos from your event will be easy to share and save.
If your event is cancelled after you’ve submitted the Event Media Request Form, make sure you notify University Multimedia Services of the cancellation as soon as possible. Cancellation fees may apply for late-notice cancellations or no-shows. To cancel an event, contact:
