| Michele McCandless, DSP Associate Director |

Michele started at DU in November 2000. Her background includes work in journalism and non-profits. She completed her Bachelor's in Journalism from Colorado State University and her Master’s in Social Work at DU in June 2005. As Associate Director of DSP, Michele works with all DU students who have documented disabilities. Her favorite part of working in UDS is watching students as they realize that they have the power to create change, not only for themselves, but for others with disabilities. |

| Lisken Seader, Accommodations Specialist |

Lisken has been with DU in various capacities since 1993 and with DSP since 1999. She received her BA in Psychology from DU, and in 2007 finished her master’s degree in DU’s Higher Education program, focusing on Leadership and Change for Organizational Professionals. Lisken reviews documentation and approves accommodations and coordinates everything related to sign language interpreters and accommodations for deaf and hard of hearing students. She also works with undergraduate students who are on probation and also have a disability. |

| Jean Wittels, Testing Coordinator |

Jean coordinates academic testing accommodations for students in the Disability Services Program (DSP). She has been employed as the Academic Testing Coordinator with University Disability Services since January 1998. Jean studied Sociology and Criminology while attending Ferris State University and Grand Rapids Junior College in Michigan. Jean finds the relationships made with faculty and students over the years very rewarding. |

| Dave Thomas, Assistive Technology Specialist |

Dave started at DU in December, 2006 after spending the previous eleven years working in the developmental disabilities field. He has a wealth of experience promoting the employment of people with disabilities, performing research, curriculum design and training on promotion of healthier lives for people with disabilities, and has used assistive technologies in his own personal and professional life for nearly twenty years. He holds a BA from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota with a double major in Speech Communication and English as well as a MA in Communication Studies from the University of Memphis. He enjoys the challenge of working with students and technological solutions to disability-related access difficulties students sometimes encounter. |
