DU Faculty and Staff
DSP is available to help instructors and staff in provide appropriate accommodations for students in the classroom, campus housing and events.
There may be times, however, when you may choose to accommodate a student directly without the involvement of DSP. For example: if a student is temporarily ill or injured and needs to have an extension on a test or a paper, the instructor and student are encouraged to negotiate the terms of the extension.
We encourage instructors to add a statement to their syllabi telling students how to request accommodations through DSP. Link to sample students
