Mike started with the LEP in October 2004. His area of interest is working with students who have conditions like Asperger's Syndrome and non-verbal learning disabilities. He also leads a Men’s group for undergrad males focusing on male identity. He originally hales from upstate New York and worked at a day center for homeless men and women prior to coming to DU. Mike finds great joy in connecting with people, and gets this opportunity every day working as an LEP counselor. He considers it a gift to be able to be in relationship with students and staff, working toward bettering ourselves and the communities we live in.
