Melissa Cermak started with LEP at the beginning of the winter 2008 quarter. She holds a BS in psychology from Colorado College. She completed her graduated work at Iowa State University, where she received her MS in school psychology and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology. In addition to her academic counseling position with the LEP, Melissa also is an adjunct professor for DU’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. Prior to relocating back to Colorado in March 2007, Melissa began her career as a school psychologist in Iowa. Along with her work in disability services, Melissa also has experiences working with gifted and talented populations. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys cooking, pop culture, hockey, and spending time with her family
