Julia graduated with a BA in psychology from Colorado College, and an MA in psychology with an emphasis on children and adolescents from Boston University. Previously, she has worked as a teacher at the Fisher Early Learning Center here at the University of Denver with typical children and those with special needs. Julia has research experience dealing with issues such as childhood obesity and adolescent eating disorders. Currently, Julia is pursuing her PhD in Child, Family and School Psychology from the University of Denver, as well as working as Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Learning Effectiveness Program as an Academic Counselor. She is passionate about helping children and families learn to advocate for themselves. Julia enjoys getting to know her students and helping them use their strengths to be successful in life.
