The LEP Writing Development Support
About LEP Writing Development Support
The Writing Development support helps students acquire and build solid writing skills. Academic counselors and writing tutors are trained to assist students without proofreading or editing the work for the student. Writing is an active process. Students are involved in every aspect of the writing process, from brainstorming to final polishing.
The LEP currently employs writing tutors. All are MA or Ph.D. candidates specializing in English/writing. They’ve all been trained on working with students with written expression challenges. LEP students typically work on written assignments with their academic counselors and supplement this assistance through the tutoring department.
Who Uses the LEP Writing Development Support?
All LEP students are able to use the Writing Development support through their LEP academic counselor or tutor.
