THE BIG EVENT is a major, late-night event that promotes the current DU Impact 2025 Strategic Plan to create community and collaboration among student groups and University departments across the campus.

THE BIG EVENT will take place on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 8PM-1AM and will span the area from the Driscoll Student Center to the Ritchie Center with over 40 fun, student and campus department events and programs happening at one time.

THE BIG EVENT is a new Pioneer tradition that serves the following purposes:

  • Kick Off/Celebrate CultureFest
  • Provide a vibrant event that is an alcohol-free alternative activity for students
  • Instill a sense of school spirit and pioneer pride for attendees.
  • Bring groups together for a common purpose by providing meaningful programming opportunities for student organizations and campus departments
