Transitioning into college is one of the most exciting times of your student's life. It can be both thrilling and challenging.
During Parent and Family Orientation, several presentations and resources are available to help families learn about academic policies and requirements, and how to support their student's academic, physical, and emotional health. Here are some of the presentations from Parent & Family Orientation:
February: parents Weekend
Parents Weekend provides an opportunity for families to spend time with their student while becoming more familiar with the University and enjoying the Rocky Mountain state.
Our next Parents Weekend will be February 12 - 14, 2016. Events will include Pioneer Men's Hockey, Denver Bus Tours, Campus Tours, Canvas and Mocktails, and more!
Schedule and registration information will be posted here in December. Members of the Parents Association have the opportunity to register a week early. More info about the Parents Association can be found here. Not sure if you're already a member, email us to find out.
Congratulations to the parents and families of graduating students! For details about commencement activities, instructions for students, merchandise, and more, please visit the DU commencement webpage.
JUNE - July - August: Summer Send-off events
Summer Send-Offs are a chance for new families to meet DU staff, for students to make friends before moving to DU, and for parents to get information about making the trip to Denver for orientation in the fall. If you are interested in hosting a Summer Sendoff in your home, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
October: Homecoming & Family Weekend
Students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff and friends of DU are invited to reconnect and celebrate Homecoming & Family Weekend in October.
