Involving Parents

The Parents Program is your link to the University of Denver.

The Parents Program was established in 1994, to encourage mutual understanding and facilitate communications between the University and parents, to provide opportunities for parents to be actively involved in the life of the University, and to sponsor programs and provide services that meet the needs of DU parents.

Currently, the program facilitates communication through:

  • the Pioneer Parents newsletter which is mailed to households in the fall and spring
  • the Parents@DU newsletter which is sent electronically to the parents listserv bi-monthly
  • the web site, www.du.edu/studentlife/parents
  • the Parents Calendar which is distributed to all parents of first year students and Parents Association members

The Parents Association supports these publications as well as events throughout the year; Summer Send-Off Parties for incoming students and their parents, Parents and Family Weekend and “Moms” & Grandmoms, and “Dads” & Grandads Weekends on alternating years.
