P.E.A.K. Programs

What are P.E.A.K. programs?

PEAK stands for Pioneer. Engage. Activate. Know.  It is a series of programs, workshops, and events providing training and resources for individual and organizational success and engagement.  We focus on both student organization training and opportunities for individuals to develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes around leadership in other settings.

P.E.A.K. Student Summit

The P.E.A.K. Student Summit is dedicated to cultivating student leaders committed to the institution's core values of excellence, innovation, engagement, integrity, and inclusiveness. This program will not only serve the university community, but will also graduate student leaders who embody these values throughout society. This program is aimed at creating a dynamic and continuous training for student leaders. It will provide students with the tools they need to be successful, and help them develop their own critical ideologies around leadership and what it means to be a leader.

Goals:

  • To establish a salient "student leader" identity that is inherently viewed with dignity and importance.
  • To create community among student leaders for increased interaction and collaboration between student groups.
  • To develop a complex understanding of leadership and leadership skills among student leaders that informs their practice both on campus and in the community

The 2014 P.E.A.K. Student Summit will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014. More information will be shared with students via OrgSync and the USG weekly emails.

P.E.A.K. Workshops

P.E.A.K. Workshop Series supports the Student Leadership Summit by offering various opportunities to learn about personal and organizational leadership.  Information is updated on these workshops through the Pioneer Org Support Team (POST) portal in OrgSync.
