Cost of Attendance
The cost of attendance is made up of both direct costs and indirect costs:
- Direct costs: Direct costs include fixed expenses such as tuition and student fees that are charged by DU and appear on your student bill.
- Indirect costs: Books, personal expenses and transportation fees make up some of the indirect costs that won't show up in your quarterly DU bill, but are nonetheless part of your overall cost of attendance.
More information on tuition and fees for the 2016-2017 academic year can be found through the Registrar's Office.
If you're an undergraduate student enrolled in a DU degree program and taking summer classes, you'll receive a summer grant comparable to the amount of merit- and need-based funding you received each quarter during the 2016-17 academic year. (Note that a summer grant can only help pay for classes taken during summer quarter—not for summer or fall interterms.)
The summer financial aid application will be available March 31, through PioneerWeb. The priority deadline to apply for summer financial aid is May 5th. The final deadline to apply for financial aid is June 16th.
