Graduate Tax Program

GTP Online

Master of Taxation and LL.M. in Taxation Now Available Online

Can't come to Denver because of work or family commitments? You can now earn your degree part-time in the Graduate Tax Program online! Online students actually join in the same classes with the students in Denver, receiving the same course materials, doing the same work at the same time, watching rich-media recordings of each live classroom presentation (either live or later, on-demand), submitting quizzes and homework problems online, asking questions by phone or email, participating in online discussion with students in Denver, and taking examinations with a proctor in your local community.

Students may begin the program part-time in any quarter. Participating in GTP Online is restricted to students who live more than 50 miles from Denver. Unlimited access to a computer and a broadband Internet connection are required. All commonly available computer operating systems are supported, for both PCs and Macs, and no special software need be purchased.

To apply, use the Graduate Tax Program application for admission available on this website or in the GTP bulletin. Check the box for "GTP Online."

Tuition and course materials for GTP Online cost the same as for onsite students. Online students will incur some additional costs for shipping materials and paying exam proctors.

Class Recordings

Graduate Tax Program classes are recorded using Mediasite, a lecture capture system that records the classroom audio and video of the professor, and directly records any computer presention in real time. Recordings are available via the Internet both live and later, on demand, through the University of Denver's Blackboard e-Education platform. This gives online students a virtual "window" into the classroom to see and hear both the professor and the students attending in Denver.
