Bloody Poetry was produced on the University of Denver Theatre Department’s proscenium stage. For this production audience risers were built on stage. They were arranged to produce a 20' by 20' corner stage.

Corner Stage plan
The Bloody Poetry set consisted of a series of raked free form platforms covered in off-white carpet. One set of platforms was left as stained wood. Backing these platforms were pieces of unbleached muslin draped to suggest sails. All location changes were created with props, lighting and sound.

The lighting was based on 9 basic lighting areas. Each area was lit 4 instruments. Three of the lights were placed at a vertical angle of 40 degrees. They were spread approximately 100 degrees apart. (medium straw R808, no color pink R825, light green blue R858) . The fourth light was a high angle back light in No Color Blue R60.
