The Dark of the Moon was produced on the Virginia Commonwealth
University's Shafer Street Playhouse, an old high-school gymnasium.
The proscenium opening was 20' wide and 10' high. There is no
grid and less than 6' of wing space on each side.
The set was divided into two parts along the plaster line. Upstage
was a permanent set, the mountain. Downstage was a fore stage
on which all the village scenes were played. A set of wooden
walls slid into a variety of positions on the plaster line.
