The Byron Theatre in Alley (or Transverse) Configuration

The Elizabeth Eriksen Byron Theatre was designed by William Temple (Davy) Davis and has some astounding features including: incredibly comfortable bench seating, modular seating units that appear to perfectly fit whatever arrangement they are placed in, and the ability to change the apparent size and shape of the entire theatre depending on the production demands. DU architect Mark Rodgers has said

"...I believe that fifty years from now the design of the Byron Theatre will be pointed to as the part of the project that significantly moved the art of design for
performance forward.
