Penrose Library and UDCC

The libraries at the University of Denver are dedicated to providing the best access to both print and electronic resources required for undergraduate study. The collections, housed in Penrose Library and the Music Library, include 2.5 million volumes, hundreds of electronic journals, and almost 200 electronic databases.

Penrose Library is one of the centers of student life on campus. There are quiet spaces to study and areas for group projects. Students have access to the resources and expert help necessary for research and writing. Internet access is available through computers provided as well as laptop drops and wireless connections. Students enjoy browsing the latest magazines, fiction, and popular non-fiction in a comfortable reading area overlooking Evans Avenue and the new law building.

The reference librarians are available to introduce your UDCC/First Year Seminar students to the collections and services provided by the library. We can do something as simple as a tour to orient students within the physical building and service points, or something more elaborate to provide your students with insight into the research process and resources within the discipline being taught. Call or email a reference librarian with the subject expertise to address the needs of your class:
