The Distinctiveness

The ITI Executive Masters Program is the only graduate program of its kind in intermodal transportation.

The program is

  • finance, management, and leadership studies
  • US and international law and global trade courses
  • an Intermodal Business Planning Project, specific to the student and the sponsoring company or organization
  • a Personal Leadership Development Planning Project
  • a Travel Seminar to an area with intermodal facilities
  • team projects and study groups

The program is for
  • mid - to senior - level transportation professionals and public-sector administrators and planners

 

The Delivery

The ITI Executive Masters Program is delivered through a combination of five, 6-day, onsite residencies on the University of Denver campus and offsite distance delivery follow-up. This delivery format allows the professional to work full-time, from anywhere, while earning a graduate degree.

The program delivery includes

  • 6-day on-campus residency each quarter for five quarters

(Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall)

  • 3-day travel seminar during the sixth quarter (Winter)
  • 60 quarter-hour credits of academic work
  • distance delivery follow-up each quarter
  • 25 students or less per class

The Admission Policy

  • bachelors degree from an accredited institution
  • transcripts from undergraduate institution
  • five years mid- to senior-level management experience
  • three letters of recommendation
  • resume
  • organization sponsorship agreement, if applicable
  • a laptop computer is required of all admitted students

The Content Areas

The ITI Executive Masters Program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum delivered as integrated modules. Incorporated within the program are an Intermodal Business Planning Project, a Personal Leadership Development Strategy, and a Travel Seminar to an area with intermodal facilities.

Masters Program
The ITI Executive Masters Program is designed:
  • to prepare the intermodal
    transportation leadership of the 21st century;
  • to develop modern managers who are aware of the local, national, and international impact of an intermodal system;
  • to develop transportation leaders who will have a positive influence on the business of intermodal passenger and intermodal freight transportation; and,
  • to foster networking opportunities.
