Student Scholar Travel Fund

 Funding for Scholarly Journeys!

The Student Scholar Travel Fund provides funds for students who have academic work away from DU.

The SSTF provides grants to undergraduates who want to pursue independently-initiated academic travel related to arts, humanities, social science, natural science and math.

Students may request up to $1500 for approved reimbursable expenses related to their travel.  Examples of eligible expenses include:

* travel, accomodations and registration to present at or attend a conference

* travel, accomodations and supplies to conclude research

* travel and accomodations to attend a scholarly meeting

The Student Scholar Travel Fund does not fund service learning programs or DU courses.

In order to be considered for funding, your travel should focus on your academic goals, as opposed to personal goals or career development. The Fund will not pay for off-campus study programs or travel which has already been completed.

Applications are accepted at any time during the academic school year. Please submit your application at least 5 weeks prior to your scheduled travel. The SSTF Committee will try to respond to your application within 2 weeks.
