Blackberry with PC

This guide is to sync your Blackberry when you connect it to your computer. Use this option if you do not have a data plan with your provider, and only use your device as a mobile phone with no browser.

You will need the Blackberry Desktop Software. This comes on a CD with your device, and can also be downloaded here.

Follow the defaults while installing, up until it requires you to choose how to integrate your device.

Choose 'Blackberry Internet Service', then finish the installation.

Start up the 'Blackberry Desktop Manager' from your Start Menu. Turn on your Blackberry, and connect it to your PC using the USB cable.

Click on 'Synchronize', and then go to the 'Configuration' tab.

Click on 'Configure synch...'

Here you can select each of the components you want to synchronize.

Once you have finished, go ahead and press OK, and go back to the Synchronize tab.

Click on 'Synchronize now'.

Each time you connect your device and the Desktop Manger is running, your data will now be synchronized.
