HOLD
Description: The Hold feature allows a user to place a caller on hold without disconnecting the caller. This feature can also be used to switch back and forth between two calls.

TRANSFER
Description: The Transfer feature is used to redirect an incoming call from your phone to another on-campus extension.

CALL FORWARDING
Description: The Call Forwarding feature is used to redirect all of your calls to a specified location. Call Forwarding allows you to send all of your calls to another telephone number without ringing the telephone set in your room.

THREE-WAY CALLING
Description: Allows you to talk to two different people at the same time. While the conference call must be initiated from an on-campus telephone set, other participants may be on-campus or off-campus

CALL WAITING
Description: The Call Waiting feature alerts you that another person is trying to call you when you are on the phone.

AUTOMATIC CALL BACK -- BUSY
Description: The Automatic Call Back - Busy feature is used to help connect you with an on-campus extension which is consistently busy. After activating this feature for a busy extension, the system will “watch” that extension and notify you with a priority alerting ring when it becomes free. Then the system will automatically dial the proper extension when you lift your handset from the cradle. NOTE: A limited number of administrative extensions do not accept call backs.

AUTOMATIC ALL BACK -- NO ANSWER
Description: The Automatic Call Back - No Answer feature is used to help connect you with an on-campus call which is not answered. The called party’s telephone will notify him or her of a message and enable him or her to return your call.

LAST NUMBER REDIAL
Description: The Last Number Redial feature “remembers” the last off-campus call that you made and redials that number for you. The number could be either a local number (you dialed 9 followed by a local 10-digit number) or a long distance number dialed with your University long distance authorization code (you dialed 8+authorization code+1+area code+ number).

DO NOT DISTURB
Description: When activated, the Do Not Disturb feature will prevent your telephone set from ringing or, if your line is in use for either a voice or modem call, it will disable the Call Waiting feature. While the feature is activated, on-campus callers will hear a message stating “please call back later” and off-campus callers will receive a busy signal when they dial your extension.
