Making the Switch from CAIR to DU

Reconfiguring mobile devices

When your computer is moved from CAIR to DU, you will have to update any mobile devices that you have set up to retrieve your DU email.  There may be a sync delay as the change takes effect.  If at any time you have questions, call the UTS Help Center at 303-871-4700.

For IPads and iPhones (iOS devices)
  1. On your phone or iPad, open Settings
  2. Select Mail, Calendar and Contacts
  3. Select your DU Account
  4. Press > next to Account
  5. In the Domain: field, enter DU (case doesn't matter)
  6. Select Done 
For Android phones and tablets
Account Setup

Open your Mail App and click the Settings button.  A list of email accounts will appear.

Select the DU email account to view the account setup.

In the Domain\Username field, replace cair with du.

Click Next.

 

 

Error

If you receive the error message that "You can't change an account's username.  To add an account with a different username, touch Add Account.", you must remove the DU account and re-add it. 

 

 

 

 

To add an Exchange account on your Android device, 

  1. Select your Mail Settings
  2. Choose Accounts & Sync
  3. Tap Add Account
  4. Select Exchange
  5. Enter your Email address and WebOutlook password (not your webCentral password) and tap Manual Setup
  6. For Server address, enter weboutlook.du.edu
  7. For Domain, enter DU and tap next
  8. Select the services (Email, Calendar, Contacts) and options you want
