Afghanistan Memorial Wall

Afghanistan Memory Wall

When: September 25, 2015, 9 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Where: Carnegie Green (in front of the Anderson Academic Commons)

Hosts: Office of Graduate Studies and Veterans Services

Organizer: Damon Vine, Veterans Services Coordinator

The Office of Graduate Studies is excited to welcome Ron White, a Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) in Afghanistan. Ron was deeply moved by what he witnessed during the war, so as a living memorial, he has memorized the names of all of the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines who gave their lives.  Ron has constructed a wall and travels the country writing the names of our fallen. All members of the University of Denver community are invited to experience this deeply moving display of honor and dedication. Open seating will be available for visitors to come and go.

All members of the University of Denver community are invited to attend. You can share your experience of the event on social media with the hashtag #SupportTheWall. We hope to see you there! If you have any questions please contact Damon Vine.
