Sante Fe and Taos ExcursionJune 22-25After the conference, we will be offering a three-day trip to northern New Mexico to explore sites associated with Georgia O’Keeffe, D.H. Lawrence, and others. We will leave Sunday 22 June, and return Wednesday 25 June, with a two-night stay in Santa Fe and one in Taos. Our trip will include visits to the O’Keeffe Museum and Research Center; a stop at the D.H. Lawrence Ranch and one night in the historic Mabel Dodge Luhan house in Taos, once host to O’Keeffe, Lawrence, Ansel Adams, Carl Jung, and others; an excursion to Abiquiu, where O’Keeffe lived and painted at the Ghost Ranch. There also will be time to explore the rich visual arts culture of both Santa Fe and Taos, including Santa Fe’s Canyon Road. We hope you will consider joining us for a step into the culturally generative atmosphere of the Southwest as a complementary conclusion to the time you have spent with us at the conference. Information on costs will be provided at the time of registration. If you would like to attend the elective bus trip to New Mexico, please print out the New Mexico trip page, filing in the appropriate information, and mail it in.
