Policy Brief Elements:
1. An interesting title
2. An engaging and thoroughly researched introduction to the topic
3. A discussion of the problem at hand
4. A convincing argument for your proposed solution
5. Relevant support for your assertions (from professional sources and from your primary research findings)
6. A discussion of possible counterarguments (addressing them accordingly)
7. A compelling and realistic call to action

Additionally, the completed policy brief should:
Make use of both images and text in creating a visual/aesthetic argument as well as a textual one
Include a graph, table, enlarged key quotation, or some other visual representation of your primary research findings
Contain thought-provoking subheadings
Be followed by a works cited page in correct MLA format
Include a diagnostic cover letter

Skills required for the policy brief:
Demonstrate a deep and research-based knowledge of your subject
Express an argument through a clear and thoughtful arrangement of ideas
Make appropriate use of quotations and in-text citations
Demonstrate a careful arrangement of visual elements
Demonstrate a creative and inventive conception of the policy brief project
