Association for Women in Computing

AWC is a not-for-profit, professional organization for individuals with an interest in information technology. AWC is dedicated to the advancement of women in the computing fields, in business, industry, science, education, government, and the military.  AWC's purpose is to provide opportunities for professional growth through networking and through programs on technical and career-oriented topics.

AWIS is dedicated to achieving equity and full participation for women in
science, mathematics, engineering and technology.  

Center for Women and Information Technology 

CWIT works to encourage more women and girls to study computer science and/or information systems and to pursue careers in IT; to enable all women and girls to use IT comfortably and knowledgeably; to assure that the richness and breadth of women's lives and concerns are fully represented and readily available on the Internet; and to foster research concerning the relationship between gender and IT.

Femina provides women with a comprehensive, searchable directory of links to female friendly sites and information on the World Wide Web.  

Institute for Women and Technology

IWT works to increase the impact of women on all aspects of technology; increase the impact of technology on the lives of the world's women; and help communities, industry, education and government benefit from these increases.

Institute for Women in Trades, Technology and Science

IWITTS provides training, e-strategies, publications and technical assistance nationally to the education system and employers to integrate women into technology and law enforcement careers.  

National Academy of Sciences--Committee on Women in Science and Engineering

CWSE was established in 1991 as a standing committee of the National Research Council (NRC). CWSE's mandate is to coordinate, monitor, and advocate action to increase the participation of women in science and engineering.

SpiderWomen

SpiderWomen's "general" mission is to advance the feminist revolution by building relationships through technology to empower women. Our specific mission is to train women and give women the tools in which to become a viable force in today's economy, university and creative spheres.

Women in Multimedia

WiM is working towards providing support, education, and resources to women involved in new media/internet careers. WiM examines the social implications of emerging technologies, in addition to supporting individuals in their professional and artistic development. WiM offers diverse perspectives, critical commentary, and constructive strategies to influence the future of new media.

For more than a decade, WITI has successfully provided women in technology inspiration, education, conferences, on-line services, publications and an exceptional worldwide network of resources. WITI is the first and only international organization solely dedicated to advancing women through technology.
