Professional Biography
Although I was born in Toronto, Canada, I spent my childhood in both Santa Fe, New Mexico and Las Vegas, Nevada. I attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for my undergraduate and graduate degrees. Studying abroad during college inspired me to continue making the world a smaller place by creating relationships that spanned the globe. This motivated me to move to Costa Rica and later Vietnam to teach English. Upon returning to the US, I continued my teaching career as Academic Director of a small language school for 6 years. I was drawn to DU because of the location and its commitment to a high-quality educational experience. I enjoy practicing yoga, modern dance, hiking, and art in all its forms. The advice I would give international students is to ask questions and get involved!
