DU Research & Scholarship Showcase

Registration for the 2021 Research and Scholarship Showcase is NOW OPEN! The Research Showcase will be completely virtual on our new website and over Zoom.

All students interested in participating in this year's Showcase will be asked to provide their project information and abstract to be available for viewing on the website. If interested, students can opt into presenting via Zoom. If choosing to present, we ask that students prepare a visual and upload it in the registration form. Students at any research stage may present their work (you do not need to have completed research to present) at the Showcase.

Before you register, you should:

  • Prepare an abstract.
    • An abstract is required for all students who register.
    • Abstracts should be clear, concise, and written for a general audience.
    • Visit the Portfolio page dedicated to the Showcase created by the Writing Center for full abstract requirements, guidelines, and tips or make an appointment with a consultant to get more hands-on assistance.
  • Collect all co-author names and contact information.
    • Decide who will be listed as the lead presenter/contact for the project.
  • Consider if you would like to present via Zoom.
    • The Showcase will feature various Zoom rooms, sorted by discipline, that will allow for immediate feedback and live Q&A with peers, faculty, and staff.
    • Visit the Portfolio page dedicated to the Showcase created by the Writing Center to get tips on how to create the best visual for your presentation.
    • If you are interested in presenting, you will be asked to upload your visual in the registration form.

About the showcase

The University of Denver welcomes DU community members to attend the third annual DU Research & Scholarship Showcase -- an event that showcases the exemplary scholarship of the University's students. The Undergraduate Research and Scholarship Symposium is proud to present the third iteration of this collaborative event as an embodiment of the DU IMPACT 2025 initiative to create ONE DU. Students from all disciplines are invited to participate in the Showcase. The Undergraduate Research Center (URC) will be collaborating with the Center for Community Engagement to advance Scholarship & Learning (CCESL) to broaden the scope of the scholarship represented at the Showcase. The Writing Center will join us to create resources for students on how to write a research abstract and how to create a virtual presentation.

Additional information for students who will be presenting at the Showcase can be found in the Presenters, Abstract, and Posters sections on the left side of this page.

If you have a question that isn't answered here, please send an email to uap-researchshowcase@du.edu
