Leah O'Grady, M.A.

Associate Director, Student Success Systems


Originally from the metro Atlanta area, Leah graduated from the University of Georgia with dual Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Child and Family Development. She came to Colorado in 2010 to work with AmeriCorps NCCC, which sparked an interest in working with young adults to achieve their civic, academic, and professional goals. This experience ultimately led her to complete a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education at the University of Denver in August 2016.

Leah began her DU career in 2013 as the Campus Visit Coordinator in Undergraduate Admission and transitioned to Academic Advising in late 2014, where she focused her effort on supporting students in identifying, assessing, and achieving their educational goals. In 2017, Leah transitioned to University Academic Programs in the Provost's Office to support and manage a variety of high-impact programs, including the First-Year Seminar program, the Undergraduate Research Center, the One Book One DU program, and Interterm programming. Leah is currently the Associate Director of Student Success Systems, managing the implementation, utilization, and training of the Civitas advising tool, Inspire. She hopes to use this tool to further leverage faculty and staff talents and resources in supporting student persistence and success at DU.

Leah is also an adjunct faculty member in University College, where she teaches in the Bachelor of Arts Completion Program for post-traditional students.

Nathan Zick-Smith

Nathan was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is the only child of two academics. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from CU Boulder in 2015 where he studied geography and environmental studies. After graduation, Nathan worked in the non-profit sector in Seattle and Denver with organizations that address issues ranging from immigration to youth civic engagement. He started at the University of Denver in the fall of 2018 as a student in the Josef Korbel School where he is pursuing a degree in Global Finance, Trade and Economic Integration. His long term career goals are to use data science to support progressive policy choices in the international or environmental sector.

Tonnett Luedtke, M.A.

As a first-generation college student, Tonnett knows firsthand the power of good advising in student retention and persistence. She is a strong believer in engaging students in meaningful conversation, which can connect them with resources, help them identify their strengths, and move them toward their goals.

Tonnett enjoys sharing my passion for holistic student development and often present on topics including having difficult conversations, developing resiliency, academic coaching, and inclusive excellence in academic advising. Most recently, her co-presentation "Helping Students Develop Bounce! Cultivating Resiliency" received the NACADA 2015 Best of Region award.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Tonnett earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Houston, followed by a Master of Arts in Higher Education from the University of Denver. On Fridays, you can find her (aka Toni) teaching a Bodypump group exercise class at the Coors Fitness Center. In her life outside of DU, Tonnett enjoys spending time with her husband and two little boys. She is an avid runner and has completed one marathon and several half-marathons. She spend a lot of time outside enjoying Colorado's natural beauty.

Allison Weirauch, M.A

Allison is from Chico, California and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz. As an undergraduate student, she worked as an Admissions Ambassador, Resident Assistant, and Orientation Leader. As a result of these student leadership experiences, she discovered a career path in higher education and went on to earn a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University. Since moving to Colorado in 2008, Allison has worked at several Colorado colleges and universities in a variety of functional areas, including academic advising, financial aid & scholarships, and student support services.

April Osborne, M.ED.

April was born and raised in Austin, Texas where she also attended The University of Texas at Austin with a BS degree in Kinesiology and Health. Before starting her master's degree, April worked full time trying out a few different industries including a high school college access program, sport and consumer marketing, and state government. During that time, she knew something was missing, and decided that working with students was her passion. April attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas and received her M.Ed in Student Affairs in Higher Education. After graduation, she set her eyes on Colorado and joined the Academic Advising team in September 2017.

During her free time, April enjoys spending time with her partner, Pablo, and their two dogs, MJ and Sam. April is so excited that Denver has so many parks that she can take them to! She likes trying new things, including foods and travel!

Erin Geering, M.A.

Erin Toothaker comes from University of Denver's University College where she worked as an Enrollment Manager for nearly two years, prior to that she worked in the Office of Graduate Studies. She has worked at a variety of institutions and has several years of experience in experiential education. Currently, she is working on her doctorate in Higher Education from the Morgridge College of Education. She earned a Master's in History from Miami of Ohio and a Bachelor's in English Literature and History from MacMurray College. Erin loves Amtrak adventures, weekend trips to visit friends and family, coffee, reading, thrifting, and watching weird movies or YouTube videos with her husband Stephen and Bagheera, their cat.

Julia Wagenaar, MBA

Julia is a double alumna from the University of Denver who graduated with a BSBA in Marketing, minor in Mathematics and a Master of Business Administration Degree. Most recently, she worked at Colorado State University – Global Campus as an Undergraduate Student Advisor serving in both a financial aid and academic advising capacity with non-traditional adult learners.

As a student at DU, Julia was grateful to have had the opportunity to embrace my strengths, step out of my comfort zone, and find great mentors! She loves that every student experience is unique, and she am passionate about working with students to help them realize their potential and achieve their goals.

Julia is originally from the East Coast (Maryland and New Jersey), but has called Colorado home for over a decade now. In her free time, she loves working with children, swimming, enjoying great food, and pursuing her next arts & crafts project!

Justin Corcoran, M.P.A.

Justin was born and raised in Auburn, New York and spent all of his life in New York prior to joining the team at DU. He attended Syracuse University where he earned a degree in Communication & Rhetorical Studies as an undergrad, and then completed a Certificate of Advanced Study in Intercollegiate Athletic Advising and Support while interning with the Syracuse Football program. Justin then moved on to Marist College where he worked for 4 years as an academic advisor in the Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement and completed a Master of Public Administration. Justin is excited to join the DU community and to provide students with the guidance to get the most of out of their time at the institution!
