Assistant Vice Chancellor & Director of International Student Admission
After studying cultural anthropology at the University of Michigan, I worked for a Japanese education company where I taught English before settling in Denver. My career search pointed me squarely toward higher education, advising international students and management.I’ve spent the last 34 years managing the International Student Admission office at here DU and am so grateful to fulfill my professional goals in this – the best job on campus.I’ve made life-long friendships with students, faculty and fellow staff members over these decades and around the world.I’ve seen the Amazon Rainforest, the Taj Mahal, Notre-Dame de Paris, Petra, Machu Picchu, Iguazu Falls, the Coliseum, and many other incredible sights between high school visits and college fairs around the world.
My biggest piece of advice to any DU applicant to is visit campus. Get a feel for our climate (weather and culture!), visit a class, our buildings, and check out our incredible study abroad program
I work hard at keeping up with world news, the music scene, my two sons (one is a sophomore here at DU) working out at least four times a week and maintaining my house (no small feat). My favorite place to visit is India – a sensory smorgasbord!
