Admission & Financial Aid

As a student in the Department of History, you'll work closely with faculty to explore a variety of geographic areas and periods ranging from premodern Europe to modern Latin America, and from colonial America to twentieth-century China.

Whether you pursue a history major to practice your historical analysis while exploring a broad selection of courses, or you choose to supplement your degree with a history minor curated to your particular interests, our undergraduate-only program offers you academic support and attention. If you strive to share your passion for history through a career in education, you can apply to our dual degree program in teacher education with the Morgridge College of Education, in which you can complete a major in history and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction in just five years.
