Lamont Symphony Orchestra

Lawrence Golan, Music Director & Conductor

The award-wining Lamont Symphony Orchestra provides a comprehensive and intensive learning experience that prepares students for careers as orchestral musicians. The orchestra performs both symphonic concerts and stage productions each year.

While mostly made up of music majors from the Lamont School of Music, the orchestra is open to students from across the university. Auditions are held every quarter, generally on the day before classes start for woodwind, brass and percussion, and on the first day of classes for strings and harp. Any student interested in auditioning should contact Professor Golan at [email protected] for more information.
