Kyle Hughes is an award winning, classically trained world and modern percussionist, whose career started in elementary school performing with the Rugare Marimba Ensemble. He earned his Bachelor's of music in audio production and sound recording from the Lamont School of Music. A graduate from John Kinzie and Michael Schulze's studios, Kyle strives to combine his passion for percussion and audio engineering. Prior to joining Lamont's staff in 2016, Kyle worked as an audio intern for Bravo! Vail, where he was one of two pioneering members of the audio internship. His most recent work has been performing and recording with his trio, the H.P.F. Project, which were bronze medalist winners in the Global Music Awards. Kyle is happy to be continuing his career at the University of Denver and hopes to help students both from an audio and musical standpoint.
