Keith Jones has always been passionate about music. He grew up listening to his mother teaching piano every afternoon after school. Trumpet lessons began in fourth grade. After being involved in many jazz groups in High School, Keith attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, receiving a bachelor's degree in professional music.

After spending several years attempting to get a trumpet playing career going, Keith became interested in the piano again. He began a course in piano tuning at the San Francisco School of Piano Technology then began apprenticing with a local used piano shop, McQuilkin Music. In 2000 he was hired as assistant piano technician at San Francisco State University where he learned much from head technician, Thomas Winter. He began working at the Lamont School of Music in 2004, and has been continuing to learn and grow as a technician. He attends the Piano Technicians Guild Conferences annually where there are many opportunities to learn from fellow technicians. Recently he attended the C.F. Theodore Steinway Academy at the Steinway factory in Queens, New York.
