Dr. Susan Cable
Piano Chamber Music

Dr. Susan Lee Cable is professor emeritus of piano at Metropolitan State University, Denver where she taught piano, chamber ensembles, piano literature and pedagogy for 34 years. Earlier in her career she was professor of piano at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa. She holds degrees in piano performance from Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Universities of Illinois and Northern Colorado. She also studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria and the Aspen and Tanglewood Music Festivals. Her teachers include Joseph Schwartz, Adele Marcus, Howard Karp, and Daniel Graham.

Susan has performed extensively as piano soloist and collaboratively with instrumentalists and singers in the U.S. and Europe including numerous musicians in the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. She founded and performed with the Ariel Trio for 12 years. For many years she served on the board of the Young Musicians Foundation of Colorado. Susan continues to teach and perform in Denver.
