About: Jeremy Dehn studied Chinese in college and worked as a translator and a journalist in Asia before returning to The States to study film production at the University of Texas at Austin. He is an award-winning writer, director, and editor, and a New York Times published writer. His films have been called "brilliant" by MovieMaker Magazine and "absurdly fun" by The Denver Post, and The Black List said his writing has "a smart, often biting, sense of humor." Jeremy lives with his wife and two daughters in his native Colorado, where he teaches film production at the University of Denver.

Selected Accomplishments:

  • Director of Project DU F.I.L.M.'s Happy F-ing Valentine's Day (2016)
  • Festival record for ongoing creative work spans fifteen years,
    dozens of film festivals on five continents, and awards in both juried and audience categories
  • Founded the interdisciplinary Acting and Directing class at DU
  • Currently developing a feature film from his script that was a semi-finalist at the Seattle Film Festival and covered in Variety.
  • Awards include the Audience Award at the Austin Film Festival and the Golden Aphrodite at the Cyprus International Film Festival
