Project DU F.I.L.M.

Project DU FILM (Film Initiative Linking to Mentors) is a Students and alumni filming on the set of "Happy F-ing Valentine's Day"collaborative, experiential, mentorship filmmaking program bringing together faculty, professional alumni and students to create, promote and distribute films. We welcome all majors!

● By working alongside alumni mentors, students learn what it means to be a professional filmmaker.
● Recognizing industry-wide inequities, we place special emphasis on populating our cast and crews with people from traditionally underrepresented groups

Happy F-ing Valentine's Day

In this film, Valentine's Day provides the backdrop for a short comedy that asks the question, how can trying to do something so right turn out so f-ing wrong?

The script, written by DU professor, Dr. Sheila E. Schroeder, was inspired by true events that transpired on Valentine's Day, 2015 in Nederland, CO. Find out more at
