Professional biography

Laurel Eckhouse is an assistant professor of political science at the University of Denver. She studies the politics of criminal justice, racial and ethnic politics, political methodology, and public law in the United States. Professor Eckhouse is at work on a book manuscript on the politics of racial inequality in policing. At DU, she teaches classes on research methods, political institutions, and racial and ethnic politics.
