You must meet the following requirements to earn a BA in psychology.

    • Complete a minimum of 40-credit hours of psychology courses (courses with the prefix PSYC).
      • STAT 1300/INFO 1020 (Statistics I) or BIOL 2090 (Biometry) satisfy the "introductory statistics" category, but the hours do not count toward the major.
    • Complete a maximum of 60-credit hours in the Psychology Department at DU; hours over 60 do not count toward any requirements
      • Exception: Junior/Senior Honors hours (PSYC 2751, 2752, 3150, 3151, 3152) count toward the minimum 40 hours but do not count against the 60-hour maximum.  Complete at least 25-credit hours of upper-division PSYC courses (2000 level and above). You must have a GPA of at least 2.0 overall AND within the major.
    • For a PSYC course to count toward a requirement and the minimum hours, you must earn a C- or above in the course. However, even PSYC courses with a D grade count toward the 60-hour maximum.
