Dr. William I. Robinson is Professor of Sociology, Latin American & Iberian Studies, and Global Studies at University of California, Santa Barbara. He is the author of eight books, among them Promoting Polyarchy (1996), A Theory of Global Capitalism (2004), Latin America and Global Capitalism (2008), and Global Capitalism and the Crisis of Humanity (2014). His new book Essay in Global Capitalism will be published by Haymarket Books in 2018.
