Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was recently in the United States an official state visit. He’s been hailed as a courageous reformer by some Western media outlets and several prominent American foreign policy names have urged the West to support his policies. Critics warn against this praise given continued human rights abuses within the kingdom and a disastrous war in Yemen that has led to one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. How should the US respond to these developments? What are the implications for the future of the Middle East?

CMES Director Nader Hashemi, CMES Distinguished Fellow and former U.S. Ambassador Gary Grappo, and Teaching Professor and Director of the Human Trafficking Center Claude D'Estree will discuss this topic followed by a question and answer session with the audience. Please join us.
