Shannon is a Senior Financial Aid Advisor for Graduate Financial Aid in the Office of Financial Aid at University of Denver and joined the DU community in June 2015. She has spent the majority of her almost 10 years’ experience in Financial Aid learning and focusing on student loan repayments. She received a Master of Arts in Financial Communication from Indiana University- Purdue University Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Indiana University.

Shawn is the Business Development Director for Sallie Mae and assigned to the colleges and universities in Colorado and Utah. Shawn has over 20 years of industry experience in financial aid. Before Sallie Mae, Shawn was the interim Director of Financial Aid at the University of Denver. Previously Shawn worked for Rider University, the New Jersey Higher Education Assistance Authority and Citigroup- Student Loan Corporation. He attended Rider University in New Jersey where he received his bachelor degree in Accounting.
