The Contemporary Medieval, Part I: Putting the Audience into Practice
LOCATION: Sturm 435
What is the audience for creative critical work, and how do we understand creative critical practices in relation to that audience? Where is creative critical work practiced, shown, published and taught, and how might we take account of these issues in our multi-disciplinary work? To begin exploring these questions, Clare Lees and Gillian Overing, medievalists who work with contemporary re-makings of the past, will lead a workshop that puts the audience into practice. We aim to talk across, through and around disciplines and practices to focus on and engage, creatively and critically, with our various audiences.
