New Shuttle Service to Begin March 1

    Feb. 26, 2019

You may have seen the news that Chariot plans to cease operations. DU's Chariot shuttle service will still be available to DU students, faculty and staff until Thursday, Feb. 28. Beginning Friday, March 1, local company Jay's Valet will provide DU with campus shuttle service.

    ·        The shuttle will continue operating from 7AM to 7PM, Monday – Friday.

    ·        It will operate in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions and will go to the same stops.

    ·        Riders must show the driver a valid DU Pioneer ID Card order to board.

    ·        The most significant difference is that there will not be a ride app for boarding or viewing shuttle location status.  Riders will not be able to see the location of the shuttle on the route.

    ·        The Shuttle will still operate with 20-minute headways. That means that a shuttle should arrive at a given stop, at roughly 20-minute intervals in each direction.

    Jan. 8, 2019

In January 2019, Saunders Construction will start major construction operations on the University of Denver Community Commons and First Year Residence Hall projects. The remaining homes located near the southeast corner of South High Street and East Asbury Avenue will be demolished first, followed by the Driscoll North building. After demolition is complete, construction crews will begin soil excavation operations. Saunders is committed to recycling and reclaiming materials wherever possible.

Please note there will be sidewalk closures along East Evans Avenue next to the existing Driscoll North building from mid-January to the end of March 2019. Pedestrian crossings will be open along South High Street and South University Avenue. The Driscoll Bridge will close for the duration of construction on the new Community Commons building.

A community information meeting will be held later this month to answer questions about the project and meet the construction team.

    Aspen Hall Demolition Begins

    Dec. 11, 2018

Demolition of Aspen Hall began Tuesday, Dec. 11. This project is estimated to be complete in spring 2019. Pedestrian traffic should utilize the asphalt path around Johnson-McFarlane Hall that was installed as part of the original Sie Complex construction. The asphalt drive along the west side of the H1/H2 garage off of Iliff Avenue will be the access drive in/out for construction. The northwest exit from this garage will be unavailable due to its close proximity to the construction site.
