Commencement

Commencement ceremonies at the University of Denver will take place June 9 - 12. Face coverings will be required while on campus and inside Magness Arena. Students who have been on campus this spring and employees will be required to have return-to-campus clearance (visit “campus access status” on the homepage of PioneerWeb). Guests and students who have not been on campus during the spring term will be required to complete a visitor screening within two hours prior to their scheduled event. The link will be posted here on commencement days.

How will commencement work in 2021?

Event Details

    Multiple ceremonies over four days

    There will be 16 Class of 2021 commencement ceremonies spread over four days—two days for PhD, master's and educational specialists; two days for bachelor's.

    177 total students plus 5 guests per student

    Due to public health considerations, Class of 2021 guests will be limited to five per graduating student.  All guests will be assigned to specific seats, and all five guests in a graduate’s party must stay seated together in the reserved seats. We appreciate graduate and guest compliance with these required protocols. Due to COVID protocols in Magness Arena, tickets may not be transferred or traded.

    Students that graduated in the Fall 2020 and Winter 2021 quarters invited to participate with Class of 2021

    Fall 2020 and Winter 2021 graduates are included in Spring Class of 2021 commencement ceremonies to be held June 9, 10, 11, and 12.

    Only graduating students may participate

    Due to public health concerns and to minimize crowding, only graduating students will be able to participate at Class of 2021 Commencement.
