English Conditional Admission (ECA)

For students who have already received English Conditional Admission to an undergraduate program, please contact the Office of International Admission for assistance with applying.

For students who have already received English conditional admission to a graduate program, please contact the Office of Graduate Studies for assistance with applying.

Winter Quarter 2018: January 2 - March 8

Tuition and Fees per Quarter

  • Tuition: $3,800
  • Health Center Fee: $190
  • Technology & Materials Fee: $78
  • University Activity Fee: $40

TOTAL TUITION & FEES PER QUARTER = $4,108


Estimated Fees per Quarter

The following fees are estimates and may vary.

  • Books: $250
  • Health Insurance: $650*
  • Living Expenses: $6,727
  • Per dependent: $1,320
*Students must show proof of insurance from their country or purchase insurance online during registration. If a student brings health insurance from home, the minimum amount must be at least $500,000 for medical expenses.

Total funds to be shown on an original bank statement or financial guarantee:

  • $11,735 for one quarter of study
  • $35,205 for one year of study

A completed application includes:

  1. A completed application form
  2. A $75 non-refundable application fee (paid by credit card, check, or wire transfer)
  3. A copy of the passport name page
  4. An original letter of financial guarantee (letters may be submitted in electronic form)

Transfer students will also need to submit:

  1. Copy of I-20 from current school
  2. Copy of US visa
  3. Copy of latest transcripts

Applications are complete when all required documents have been submitted. After an application is complete, it will be processed within one week.

After a student is accepted to the ELC, an I-20 (certificate of eligibility) will be created. Once a student's I-20 is ready, we will email instructions on how to setup shipment through eShipGlobal. Shipping is at the student's expense. Students may choose UPS, FedEx, or DHL to ship their acceptance packet.

under 18 policy

Please refer to our Under 18 Policy if you will be under 18 or younger at the start of orientation. The following items are required for international students under 18:

  • A University of Denver Health and Counseling Parental Consent Form signed by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Satisfactory demonstration of one of the following:
    • Student Sponsorship: The student is sponsored by a reputable agency, representative, or company that has an adult over the age of twenty-five (25) living within the United States who will serve as a 24/7 resource for the student and can travel to Denver on short notice.
    • Family or Friends: The student has a family member or close family friend over the age of twenty-five (25) who lives in the U.S. and is willing and able to serve as a 24/7 resource for the student and can travel to Denver on short notice.
