City Nature Challenge @ DU

Join a team of DU citizen scientists as we compete with hundreds of cities worldwide to log the most observations of nature, identify the most species and engage the most people in measuring urban biodiversity.

Bring your smart phone to the sculpture in front of Anderson Academic Commons
to participate in one of the many guided walks around campus leaving every hour,
on the hour, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday and Monday.

DU Faculty, staff and students are invited to help put Denver on the biodiversity map by looking
for plants, animals and other evidence of life on and around campus. You can participate by:

1. Downloading the iNaturalist app to your phone

2. Taking pictures of what you find

3. Sharing your pics and observations through the app to reach a global community of scientists who want to understand urban natural systems.

On Monday, April 29, gather for an Upload Pizza Party in the AAC Special Events Room for a screening of the movie Living in the Future’s Past at 5:30 We will be uploading all of our data and observations!
