The University Writing Program is happy to announce its annual roundtable conversation about faculty research and writing practices. Professors from diverse disciplines at DU will briefly present their research projects and writing approaches, and then engage in open discussion with the audience. This years' speakers include:

Lynn Schofield Clark, Professor and Chair of Film, Media and Journalism Studies plans to talk about her ethnographic work on social media and how youth encounter the news.

Anthony Fulginiti from the School of Social Work will present quantitative research related to social network analysis as an aid to suicide prevention.

Michael Brent from the Department of Philosophy will discuss his text based/interpretive research related to philosophy of mind and action.

All three presenters are participants in DU’s AI initiative (the AI Summit is taking place at DU this April)
