Enneagram: Conflict and Anger

February 17

10:00am - 12:00pm

VIRTUAL LOCATION

Audience: Alumni,  Current Student,  Faculty,  Neighbor or Friend,  Prospective Student,  Staff

This workshop will present an overview of the nine Enneagram types specifically with regard to the type’s relationship to conflict and anger. While the body types, 8’s, 9’s, and 1’s have anger as their underlying emotion, we all experience this emotion, sometimes in a way that could create conflict or escalate, rather than diffuse an existing conflict. Utilizing methodology and training based on the teachings of Ginger Lapid-Bogda of the Enneagram in Business, as well a model of conflict resolution developed by Jack Sherwood and John Glidewell, we will engage in discussion and practices to understand the strengths, challenges and development tips specific to each type in conflict as well the best strategies for resolving conflict and handling anger responses in each type. Participants will come away with practical strategies for managing their own reactivity and anger responses as well as concrete and applicable conflict-resolution techniques.

Cost: $40 (General) $36 (Alumni, faculty, field, staff and DU colleagues) $20 (GSSW Student)
